Seasonal Information:
The best season to climb Mera Peak is in the spring and autumn season. In the spring season, the weather is stable and the temperature is also warm. You can witness the blooming rhododendron forest. This season is ideal for climbing because of the clear skies and mild temperature. Likewise in the autumn season, the skies are clear. You can see the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. It is quite colder at night. This is the most popular season and quite crowded.
The other seasons are monsoon and winter. In the monsoon season, heavy rainfall takes places which make the trail slippery and risky. This season is more prone to landslides. Likewise in winter, the weather is extremely cold and harsh. The temperature ranges from -25 celsius to -30 celsius. It is least recommended to the trekkers and climbers.
Technicality Difficulty:
The Mera Peak climbing non technical mountain. Though this demands physical fitness. This climbing requires crampons, ice axe, harness, ropes, and fixed line for safety. Mera climbing is a more straightforward expedition. Therefore, beginners with trekking experience can easily go for this climbing. Also people who have prior experience of using crampons, axes, and rope can climb the Mera peak. These tools are helpful but they are not mandatory.
Preparation Guide:
It is very crucial to be prepared for climbing. Preparation gives higher chances of successful climbing.

For Clothing: You need a down jacket, thermal layers, waterproof shell jacket and pants. You need gloves, wool socks, gaiters.

For Climbing Gears: You need Crampons and Ice Axe, harness and helmet, carabiners and ropes, mountaineering boots.

Other Essentials: Sunglasses, headlamp and batteries, sleeping bags, trekking poles, high energy snacks.

For Physical fitness: This trek is suitable for beginners also with many ascents and descents . So you need to be physically fit to walk for long hours.
Accommodation and Food:
This climb has a remote path from the valley. There is the availability of tea houses on the mainstream trekking trails. Generally the tea houses contain beds per room, bathroom facilities. And there is accessibility of Wi-fi at some point. For breakfast you get eggs, toast and bread, coffee, tea, pancakes, oats, soup, cornflakes, sandwiches, chapati, porridge. For lunch and dinner, you get Thukpa, momos, sherpa, spaghetti, potato items, Shyphale, burger, spring roll. There are options of vegan and vegetarian expeditions along the route.

You arrive in Kathmandu transfer to a hotel and you can go for gear shopping.
You’ll fly to Lukla and start your trek to Paiya through lush forests and traditional villages.
You’ll trek crossing through a thrilling suspension bridge. You’ll hike through rhododendron and pine forests. Stay overnight at a tea house.
You’ll pass by Buddhist chortens and prayer flags. You can enjoy the first distant views of Mera Peak.
You’ll enter Makalu Barun National Park. You may encounter wildlife. You’ll walk through dense bamboo and pine forests.
You’ll trek along the Hinku River with stunning scenery. You can visit remote sherpa settlements along the way. Stay overnight at a tea house.

You’ll return to green vegetation after enjoying the snowy trails. You need to be careful with breathing as altitude decreases.

You’ll cross the Zatrwa La Pass which is a high altitude route.
You’ll have a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. You can enjoy the aerial views of mountain peaks. This concludes your journey.
